Ive had a turbo (reconditioned) end of Jan 19 installed - on driving away the car now goes into limp mode if I drive continually over 150 miles. Stop car it resets and like nothing happened.
Ive had it plugged in to star with an independant MB garage and it comes up with
2510-001 check component Y77/1 (boost pressure regulator). Positioner
Been told turbo actuator is duff and needs another turbo - person I got the refurbished one from wont answer my calls even though it has a 2 year warranty.
Will I ned a new turbo and who best to get one from or just let the indy do it?

Hi buddy , there is a common actuator fault where one of the soldered links on the outside of the electronic board inside the actuator break . There is stuff on YouTube , try searching "Mercedes om642 turbo actuator ?" I'll try and post more later , Mrs Wighty is dishing dinner up

Cheers lofty
I’ve been told you can’t teplace the actuator but need a complete new turbo
Is that correct
I did have loads of other faults O2 sensor but all cleared when recon turbo fitted but when I drove up to that there London Village ir went into limp mode after 150 miles - hasn’t done it again for 2 weeks probably because I haven’t driven more than 60 miles with stopping.
There is also quite a bit of black soot around the exhaust

Glad it's fixed , has that sorted out all your fault codes ? What did auto class reckon was the problem ?

Pressure regulator sensor thingy
See Star report above mate
Only had the car 5 months and it just seems to be a lot more torque and quicker off the mark - car rev counter is good and changes gear awesome

I'm sorry to say, but a company with a name like turbochargers4u would immediately raise my suspicions.

Not being a petrol head or mechanically minded in any way shape or form - I was recommended to this and was even given the part number on their www to buy.
In any case CC Company are on it!
