Art Ortiz is the founder of DogFit Dallas. Art believes that "dogs should live in a world where we, the humans, create balance and harmony." Lisa Porter began her canine career 16 years ago in Hawaii, fostering dogs for a local rescue. In 2010 she began working with Marleys Mutts dog rescue in CA, and co-founded the Pawsitive Change prison dog program, teaching inmates about dog psychology. In 2017 she opened K9 Behavior College in central CA, to further her passion of helping and empowering people through the process of rehabilitating their dogs. Lisa is a Trainer for Fundamentals 1 & 2.

Michael Burke is a certified life coach, meditation teacher, and dog behavior consultant in Los Angeles who helps people create calm within their lives to provide calm, confident leadership for their animals. Michael's mission is to guide people on improving their energy, finding balance, clearing blocks, achieving their goals, and unleashing their ultimate potential. He also helps people to better understand and communicate with their animals and overcome behavior challenges. Michael is a former student of Fundamentals 1 and 2 and is now the Meditation Director of Training Cesar's Way.

Robert Villaneda, a Los Angeles-based behavioral expert, kick-started his career at Cesar's Dog Psychology Center from 2014 to 2017. Embracing Cesar's methods, he launched Universal Dogs Training in 2018, specializing in rehabilitating challenging dogs on a 2.5-acre property. As a Marine Corps veteran, Robert's values of structure and routine drive his work, sharing his expertise to assist others in establishing balanced relationships with their pets. From 2018 to 2022, he implemented successful rehabilitation programs at North Kern State Prison, and since 2022, he serves as Cesar's behaviorist and consulting producer on the TV show "Better Human Better Dog," actively exploring the impact of Cesar's approach on people.

HOW MUCH DO THE COURSES COST?

where are the courses held?

Courses are held at Cesar Millan’s Dog Psychology Center in Santa Clarita, California and at our partner facility, Country Inn Pet Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

i don't live near los angeles, are the courses for me?

Currently, all courses are either held at either Cesar’s Dog Psychology Center in Santa Clarita, California or at our partner facility Country Inn Pet Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

are there any prerequisites for attending the courses?

  • We welcome all students over the age of 18.

  • To enroll in Fundamentals 2, you must have completed the Fundamentals 1 course.

  • Courses involve many physical activities including walks on dirt and gravel paths that incline, swimming, agility training, and hands on activities with dogs. You should be capable of physical activity in a variety of conditions. *Please contact us in advance if you need special accommodations to ensure we can meet your needs.

  • Please check the individual course page for any specific prerequisites.

how many dogs (and humans) attend each course?

Course sizes vary. A limited number of spots may be available for those wanting to attend with a dog. All dogs require prior approval. Additional requirements will apply. *Please see specific course details to ensure bringing a dog is permitted.

I want to bring a friend to the course. can they participate in the training?

Unfortunately, no. All participants must be paid students.

may i bring more than one dog to a course? do you offer special pricing if i bring more than one dog?

If the course you’re interested in allows student dogs, you may only bring one dog per course. If you would like to bring more than one dog to a course, your second dog must be accompanied by a second human, who must register separately and pay the full course fee. We do not offer special prices for multiple dogs.

when will i know that i'm accepted for a course?

Plese refer to the terms and conditions.

do you offer special pricing for couples or families?

While we welcome participation by couples or families, we do not offer family or group discounts. The program fee covers only one human (or 1 human with 1 dog).

do you offer scholarships or reduced rates?

Currently we do not have a scholarship program or offer reduced rates.

what is the refund policy?

PAYMENT:

  • Credit Card is the sole accepted form of payment, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

REFUNDPOLICYWITHOUTADOG:

1. Registration is refundable within 24 hours of booking.

2. Cancellations made after 24 hours and up to 30 days before the course start date will be refunded at 50% (minus a 10% processing fee).

3. No refunds for cancellations made less than 30 days before the course starts or for no-shows at the event.

4. Course transfers and rescheduling requests are not permitted.

5. Refunds will be issued to the original credit card used for registration.

6. Refunds may take 1-2 billing cycles to reflect on your credit card statement.

2. If your dog is not approved, a notification will be sent to the registered email. You have 24 hours from when the email is sent to cancel for a full refund of the registration fee. 3. Cancellations made after 24 hours and up to 30 days before the course start date will be refunded at 50%, minus a 10% processing fee.

CANCELLATIONS BY CESAR'S WAY, INC:

  • Cesar's Way, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any Training Cesar’s Way programs for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient signups, force majeure, acts of God, natural disasters, riots, and reasons beyond our control.

  • In such a case, a refund of payments received by Cesar’s Way, Inc. shall constitute full settlement and shall release Cesar’s Way, Inc. from further financial liability.

  • The financial burden of Cesar’s Way, Inc. shall be limited to the amount paid to Cesar’s Way, Inc. for the Training Cesar’s Way course only and does not extend to cover any travel or other costs incurred (e.g., non-refundable air tickets, visa fees if applicable, hotel accommodations and trip insurance premiums).

  • It is recommended to consider trip cancellation insurance that includes coverage for the Training Cesar’s Way course fees.

if i am approved for one particular course, can i switch to another one?

Once you register for a course and have been approved, you may not switch to another date. If you need to cancel, please see the refund policy under FAQ.

will i receive certification that i completed the course? how may i use such certification?

You may use this certificate of completion on your resume, website, or Facebook page. We do not offer a program that “certifies” student in Cesar’s method.

do you have more courses scheduled for later in the year?

Courses are based on Cesar’s availability. Please visit our training page for announcements of future courses.

does training cesar's way offer other training programs? how can i sign up?

At the moment, we exclusively offer Fundamentals 1 & 2 workshops.
