Working in one of the biggest companies, the feeling of fear was present in my first days of work since It was a new experience. But, as the time flew by, I have met amazing friends and was able to create magic for guests who come from far away.

The atmosphere was nice, and everyone was friendly. It was difficult not having a consistent schedule, though.

I absolutely love working for the Walt Disney Company. Surrounded by driven people who all are here to serve the same purpose of creating magic for the guests is great. As a dancer and character performer I love the layout of each shift and what we get to do. It is very fulfilling and brings great energy to those surrounded.

Working for the Walt Disney company is such a blast. It honesty feels like a home away from home. Everyday is something different and something new and it always has me looking forward to work. I work over California Adventure on Buena Vista Street. I located usually at Trolley Treats and so many people from some many regions come to grab our treats. It can get a bit overwhelming due to the many guest that come on a daily but, my fellow cast members are very comforting and supportive. I feel like it’s an experience everyone should at least try. It’s really nice to step back and see that we help build the magic

At first I was a bit nervous when I joined the caste member team at Disneyland. Though, my fellow cast members welcomed me and made me feel comfortable. I was hired into Resort Transportation and Parking and overall I like the job and its tasks. Even the little things such as supplying cast members hot chocolate on cold days makes things better. Only “negative” of the job is working in the cold/ rainy weather, you are constantly outside getting wet and it can be frustrating.

My experience with the Walt Disney Company was great! I personally worked at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and it was a fantastic learning experience for a hospitality internship. I learned how to work with high volumes of people and pretty much perfected my hospitality abilities. Overall, I would do the internship again!

I love the core values of this company, but it does a major disservice to their employees and the company has been struggling for a while now.

I was part of the Disney College Program and it is certainly not for the feint of heart, but it was an incredible life experience and still extremely fun. The hours were long and difficult and in this particular program the pay was minimum wage. Guest interactions, especially with children was the highlight of my time. This program also offered affordable housing in a beautiful apartment complex that had great security and felt super safe.

Being a lifeguard is fun and all, and they do their best to train you for anything, but the company itself does not care about their employees. I have been there for 2 years now, and was told by one of my managers that I would never be promoted because they simply didnt like me. I did stay in one area so maybe other areas are better.

I feel very fortunate to be working for this company. Immediately after high school, I knew it was somewhere that I really wanted to work at. It's been almost 8 years now and I hope that once I graduate school that I will be able to continue to work for it. They work very well with my schedule and make it an important note that I am a student, and they never impede upon my school schedule or testing schedules.

While I didn't get the role I intended for while coming down for the college program, so far, I'm enjoying going to the parks for free in my spare time and my role in making magic for the guests.

They do not value student employees and treat them as slaves. They coax children with the idea of a dream job and then provide them with expensive roach-infested living and transportation that is unsafe and frequently flammable.

i did the dcp, and although the perks are wonderful, at the end of the day it is a quite demanding job and many applicants don’t understand that.

I like the people I work with and the benefits (free tickets to the theme parks). It was a fun job to have to make connections and feel helpful.

I worked for Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts in Lake Buena Vista, Florida for three years. I left the company back in 2021 after the pandemic started to slow down.
I worked as a sales associate inside of their parks and their management isn't the greatest. Dealing with guests who are over-heated, sweaty, and chasing after their kids isn't glamorous and requires tough skin. Not all guests are that way and not all co-workers are either. But from time to time you will encounter difficult people on the job.
The job itself is pretty easy to do, it's the people who end up working around you that make or break your experience. This kind of job is best for those who are extroverted, have lots of energy everyday, can lift heavy boxes in stock rooms, and are social. Those who are introverted, shy, have a limited social battery (meaning you get exhausted after speaking to various different people in a small amount of time) then this job is not a great fit.
Good luck to new cast members!

more opportunities to meet other co-workers from other departments, even though that would be difficult due to the sheer size of the resort.
